ABOUT

Wellbeing and creating are my jam.  I began teaching when I was a teenager, teaching dance and then acting classes.  I completed my first yoga teacher training in 2002, and I am currently E-RYT, Yin, and Accessible yoga certified.  I recently completed a 1000 hour training to become Somayoga therapist with Yoga North International Somayoga Institute.   I have an undergraduate degree in Theater Arts and a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, additionally a certification in Interior Design, I have remained in a creative endeavors, but always have come back to the wellness industry, primarily yoga and dance.

The philosophy of Ahimsa (non-violence)  has supported my love of our planet, animals and becoming an environmentalist, as well a proponent of plant based cooking and eating, as a “Forks Over Knives” certified cook.

I have continued dancing and choreographing for my fitness classes.  However, following our move from Los Angeles, CA to Alexandria, MN,  fell in love with choreographing musicals again.  The local community theater, The Andria Theatre has become my new home away from home.

I have also volunteered in the mental health community as a board of directors’ member, presenter and teacher for the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) in Los Angeles, CA.  I taught Family to Family classes, and presented Parents and Teachers as Allies, and Ending the Silence programs.

Living in Alexandria has brought me closer to my family.  My husband and I love living on a lake surrounded by forest, with singing birds and deer as frequent guests.  Our son lives nearby with his dogs and cats and my dad is local as well.  Spending time with family and friends never gets old.

Yoga is about turning inward, to listen; finding balance and blending the body, mind and spirit.  Yoga is a daily practice on and off the mat for me.
